Light-Up Special Events Begin Wednesday, November 12, 2025

The annual Windcrest Light-Up is a decades-old tradition in which residents decorate their homes with elaborate displays of holiday lights. We begin celebrations with the Windcrest Dedication Tree Lighting Ceremony. This year’s dedication tree theme is TBD! Celebrations continue with Candy Cane Lane and the official Light-Up Celebration Kickoff tradition with the lighting of the Light-Up Tree at City Hall and an evening event filled with, music, vendors, food, hot chocolate, and photos with Santa. The public is invited to drive along neighborhood streets to view the brightly lit house displays.

The Windcrest Light-Up Contest is held to pick the most beautifully decorated homes in various judging categories. Please review this year’s categories under the “Light-Up Contest & Map” tab down below! Winners and participants of the contest are highlighted on the Windcrest Light-Up Map. Windcrest residents will be able to register their address for the Light-Up Contest and/or the Light-Up Map. 

Each year, citizens and visitors are welcome to nominate addresses for the “People’s Choice Award.”

2025 Light-Up Theme: A Storybook Christmas!

This theme is all about embracing your favorite stories, whether they are classic Christmas tales or not. Think of the books that have inspired you, the fairy tales that captured your imagination, or the characters that have made a lasting impact. This is your chance to transform your home into a scene from your favorite story!

The beauty of A Storybook Christmas is that it allows for creativity, nostalgia, and a personal touch to your holiday decorations. There are no dedicated colors for this theme. This is your opportunity to turn your home into a page out of a book while still embracing the holiday spirit and tradition of Windcrest Light-Up!
